The trial of a 26-year-old man charged in the shooting death of Lucky Suites ended abruptly Thursday when the accused pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter. Yvenel Billy was sentenced after his surprise plea to four and half years in prison, ending a trial that had lasted 40 days.
