Here at Music & Arts we are dedicated to connecting people of all ages, interests and backgrounds through the power of music. We offer a one-stop shopping experience with a wide selection of local, regional, national and international music and entertainment options.
We are honored to serve Windsor, Connecticut and the surrounding area, as well as those who are in the midst of one of the most vibrant and diverse music communities in Connecticut.
Lynne currently lives in Tolland, CT, with her husband Jim, and has three adult sons who have graduated from the toll and public school system. April and her husband Mike live in Windsor with their three children, who all play sports, music and other activities.
Her QUEST and LC Fellows have held various positions at the University of New Hampshire, Yale University, and Yale Law School. She was also a member of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Diane holds a Master's degree in Music Education from Yale School of Music and a Master of Arts in Music Education from New Haven College, Connecticut.
After earning her Bachelor of Music degree from Hartford University's Hartt School in 1995, Jennifer decided to continue her education and enrolled in graduate school to receive her teaching certificate and in 2001 earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Yale School of Music. Susan received her Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Education in Public Policy and Public Administration from the University of Vermont. Katie began her teaching career at South Windsor High School and earned her Master of Education and Teaching Certificate. Hartford students are also accepted through the Open Choice Program, but this is the only high school in South Windsor.
The mission of the Taalim School of Indian Music is to support and celebrate the arts of India by educating its students in the art of music. We offer a highly structured curriculum in which students learn music and earn a diploma through exams conducted by renowned institutions in India.
That's why we work with local music programs and schools across the country to provide American music students with instruments, musical instruments and sheet music. No matter where you are in the world of music, you are always welcome at Taalim School.
The Parampara Music School offers bhajan, bharatanatyam, karaoke, sopranos, choral music, dance and more. Classes are offered in English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Chinese, English and Hindi.
Teachers discourage everyone so you can make suggestions for songs and activities, and the teacher discourages everyone. If you are a student of the Parampara Music School or a member of the community, your name will be entered in the database.
Barone is an enthusiastic interpreter of Nikita Koshkin's music and has contributed scholarships to the composer's work. He is the first to analyse the chamber works of Koschkin and the works of other composers such as Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven and Bach.
He has been featured at guitar festivals and societies such as the International Guitar Festival of New York and the American Guitar Society. Barone has also performed in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia.
As a member of the District's Equity Team, he helped develop the first Equity in Music program for students of color in high school and college.
He facilitated an annual trip to the University of Connecticut that enabled a diverse group of students to learn engineering from professionals and graduate students, and served as a teacher advisor for the National Writing Project to help teachers write their content. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of First Church of Windsor, Windsor Community Church and is proud to bring his passion for youth work to First Church in Windsor as he explores new ways of worship together and fosters a food-centric community. John loves to cheer on students at sporting events, attend school plays, attend proms and senior outings, and oversee international student trips, including the most recent 29 trips to New Zealand and Australia in the summer of 2019.
I am very interested in Carnatic music and would like to teach students who are involved in carnival and singing. I emphasize all aspects of dance, including singing, dancing, singing and playing in a variety of musical styles, from classical to jazz, blues, jazz - rock, folk, rock and country, as well as jazz and blues.
South Windsor High School is part of the Central Connecticut Conference, which competes in the East Division. The South Windsor HS Math Team finished second at the Connecticut State Math and Science Fair last year and third in 2012.
